Pesticide Sprayer and Rainbow Mycelium
2021
Ink, Watercolor and Gouache on Paper
30 x 40 cm (12 x 15,5 inches)
UNFRAMED PAINTING
This painting comes unframed for ease of shipping.
I would recommend taking a bigger frame and getting a custom passe-partout so it doesn’t touch the glass. A painting that touches the glass can be ruined due to possible condensation.

Earth is currently facing a brutal decline in biodiversity. We humans are the cause of the current 6th mass extinction, aka holocene extinction.
Part of the reason biodiversity is on such a steep decline are our agricultural practices. Massive deforestation, excessive use of pesticides, over production, waste of food, meat industry. Like the rest of our current lifestyle, we need to face the mistakes we did, questions our current society and find creative solutions.
I decided to go with a representation of mycelium here, as mycelium, unlike us dumb mammals, has evolved into being healthily connected with all living plants and by extent beings. If we could only partially replicate that connection of balance with our surroundings, we’d be on the right path.
