1st Sculpture of 2018

Last sculpture of 2017 was Pink Peek, featuring a curious bright pink bear, you can check it out here, in case you missed it.First sculpture of 2018 is a bug/mushroom inspired by the Elm Calligrapha, a beetle feeding on elm trees, hence the title. I painted that particular Caligrapha Scaralis for my daily insect art challenge.The tea cup was found at a thrift store and the whole sculpture was done on a whim, with the simple idea to use yellow and purple.Also out of frustration as on Tuesday I realized that, after recording a whole video, by microphone was doing a weird noise (yay!) so ended up sculpting *anything* just to calm down :)Where's the Elm Tree?Is available and you can see more pictures of the sculpture here.xxStéphanie
