Hello everyone!
Today I wanted to share some progress on a big piece I am currently working on.
The idea of this one is to juxtapose music devices and birds.
I started this one a while ago, maybe 3 months or so ago and am working on it whenever I need a break from sculpting or if I just find some time for it.
There is one cassette player, one MP3 player, one CD player and a smartphone with different headphones.
These are all devices that I have used (or still use) in my own life.
I’m more and more interested in the objects we create and use as humans and how they end up as trash after just a few years.
Visually I’ll be working on a rainbow on black background. Still my favorite way of working.
I started this one with a pencil sketch and am slowly drawing it with ink (dip pen!) and adding watercolors and gouache to it.
This one will be shown at an exhibition next year, which is a great incentive for me to work on it a little faster. Otherwise I might be at it for the next two years ^^’
