This sculpture is about the idea of recycling and upcycling. I used my own trash and my old work, so-called canes of miniature food and combined those two into this sculpture.
Green is also literal and the color scheme of this specific artwork.
Part of the series “I Can”, where I systematically grow erratic and surrealistic natural shapes onto tin cans. The dialogue between each can and growth expresses a different emotion, mood or state of the mind. They are personal and talk about myself, putting into shape what I feel or go through. They are very intuitive work whereI let my hands and the clay decide where to go after a rough sketch of the emotion I want to materialize.
