Over the years, I have put aside trash to include in my work to question our environmental impact. This year I am working on a new series of plastic bottles which I painted with jewel-like metallic paints.

For this one I picked a very gritty black paint and paired it with a brightly colored magenta. The roots became branches and turned into flowers. I was quite inspired by the season, as we were in the middle of cherry blossom season at that time. Of course, I also added a little beetle, exploring its surroundings.
