Book Art Details
Hello Everyone!
I made good progress on the book sculptures for my solo show later this year at Beinart Gallery.
Here details of the four books to be hung on the wall.

I did struggle a little on all of these until they found their right footing. The golden book “Hungry” was originally bright shades of yellow!
And while the combination yellow and purple works, it didn’t work for me, so after a lot of thinking, it became gold.
The pink one was a headache too! originally I painted it in a bright quinacridone magenta that was matt. But it didn’t work so I made the pink warmer by adding yellow and a lot if lichen.
These four book sculptures are meant to be hung on the wall and I really thought the color scheme so they all fit together.
