Bermuda Triangle

Bermuda Triangle, Sculptural Painting, 2017, Stéphanie Kilgast Hello!I was supposed to finish a new skillshare class, as only the voiceovers are missing, but I really wanted to finish this sculptural painting, and I'm really glad I did!In the logic of my current obsession(s), I opposed a very vibrant, detailed sculptural growth of various plants, fungus, bugs and crystals representing lush biodiversity and a very abstract and clean turquoise paint. I did cut the growth so to create a perfect triangle, not just for the eyes, but also to represent how humans cut through nature without so much as a second thought.I ended up calling it "Bermuda triangle", because biodiversity is disappearing like it'd be lost in the Bermudas... yes, it makes me laugh, what can I say, I have an easy laugh and what a pun!Ahem.I will leave you a bunch of details shot of the artwork below. If you would like to see my other sculptural paintings, I invite you to check out my portfolio.Really hope you like it!xxStéphanie
